 President-elect Donald J. Trump on Tuesday tempered some of his most extreme campaign promises, dropping his vow to jail Hillary Clinton, expressing doubt about the value of torturing terrorism suspects and pledging to have an open mind about climate change.
In the midday meeting in the 16th-floor boardroom of The Times’s publisher, Arthur Sulzberger Jr., Mr. Trump seemed confident even as he said he was awed by his new job. “It is a very overwhelming job, but I’m not overwhelmed by it,” he said.
He displayed a jumble of impulses, many of them conflicting. He was magnanimous toward Mrs. Clinton, but boastful about his victory. He was open-minded about some of his positions, uncompromising about others.
The interview demonstrated the volatility in Mr. Trump’s positions.
He said he had no interest in pressing for Mrs. Clinton’s prosecution over her use of a private email server or for financial acts committed by the Clinton Foundation. “I don’t want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t,” he said.

 How will those that had no true knowledge of history and politics react when their newly found GOD shows that he has a heart of tenderness.  With all the madness going on world wide especially within the USA because people of common sense and morals are aware that Trump words/insults and actions towards all race of people and genders including the pope lead him to be elected as you know what. The sourness that is mainly been suppress through silence by some people and has been shown through frustration of many is that these  people fell that America just went back 50 years because they heard and saw for themselves how much anger Trump was generating by what he was saying and doing which lead to the awakening of the  descendants of the Slave's Masters.
 The rise of Trump has display America's true colors of ignorance, hatred, racism and bullying, The amount of anger that was in the air for the last 8 years towards the descendants of former slaves all because a black family was elected to stay and live in a house that is white and always had a white residents residing in it but was built by slaves, is the main reason why trump rise up he tapped into the ignorance of America on purpose. Personally Trump was never in this to win he was in this to get more richer by receiving free money from ignorant, racist and lazy people that allow hatred to cloud the con artist Trump really is. His supporters was never into hearing the truth they just wanted someone to speak out loud what they have been feeling inside when they see someone that do not look like them.
